A dialogue on Child Situation was held on Wednesday in the conference room of the collectorate building with Khairul Hasan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) in the chair. It was organized by National Child Task Force (NCTF) duly assisted by Save the Children.
Shafiqul Islam, Deputy Commissioner, Meherpur attended the program as chief guest while Deputy Secretary Hemayet Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner(Revenue), Ahmar Uzzaman, Additional Superintendent of Police, Maynul Hasana, Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Sadar upazila were present as special guests.
Jannatul Ferdous gave the welcome address. Journalist Rafiqul Alam among others addressed the meeting.
The members of NCTF in their speeches uphold their problems in the society and in the schools. They told about the child marriage, abuse of drugs, eve teasing even in the class rooms by some dishonest teachers, problems face in the hospital, using of cell phones by the teachers in the class room and many others problems in the schools that they experience.
Members of NCTF, members of civil society and public servant took part in the dialogue.
