Newly joined SP, Meherpur exchanges views

Newly joined Superintendent of Police (SP)  S M Murad Ali in his office on 3 August exchanged views on the law and order  with the journalists working in the district .

During the time of  exchanging views the SP  emphasized to control the usage of drugs and  firmly told the journalists that he would take stiff action against the  drug users and traders. If any involvement with drugs  of his members (Police) is reported, I shall have no tie with them.   He also said that drug issue not a simple matter that is why it could not be possible to eradicate the same from the society. It reaches to the grass route level after turning gouge different hands. He already instructed the officers not to use the so-called sources to recover the drugs.

He told the journalists that battery run easy bike and  shallow engine propelled illegal vehicles are to be controlled on regional highways. Others vehicles including motor cycle checking to be continued.  SP also said that the police officers will face stiff action if it is reported that they have taken money from the commoners who come to police station for making general diary entry and police verification report to have new passport.

He sought all possible cooperation from the journalists to work properly in the district.

During the time of exchanging views Additional SP Sheikh Jahid Hossain and Mostafizur Rahman including journalists of electronic and print medias attended the program.
