Good Daddy Campaign-2019

Organized by Good Neighbors Bangladesh, Meherpur Project Office a  campaign on ‘Good Daddy-2019’ was held in the afternoon on Monday at Saint Xavier Junior High School, Mujibnagar  with Simanta Chisim, Project Manager of Community Development Project (CDP) in the chair.

The slogan of the organization is “Meye Amar Ohongkar, Nishchit Korbo Sokol Odhikar””Konna Shishuke Bhalobashbo Tar Jonno Nirapod Prithibi Gore Tulbo”.

To mark the day a rally brought out in the village Bhaberpara and ended near Bhoberpara Mission house.

After rally a lively discussion was held at the school premises where the manager of the organization gave the welcome address.

Administered by its Education Officer Jhorna Khatun former general secretary Meherpur Press Club M R Alam, Upazila Education Officer Anwar Hossain, Chairman, Bagwan UP Ayub Hossain among others addressed the meeting as guests of honor.  

The speakers underscored to increase  awareness in order to resist child marriage and child labour and to ensure social secured environment  for the female child.

150 daddies and  their 150 daughters attended the program. All the daughters showed their love to their daddies by giving flower. The Head Master of Saint Xavier Junior High School Sister Maloti Tigga administered the oath to the daddies and female students for not holding marriage before 18 years..
