Genocide Day-2017 celebrated in Meherpur

Having been organized by Meherpur district administration Genocide Day -2017 observed here on Saturday in a befitting manner. To mark the day a discussion meeting followed by a cultural program was held at local Shilpokola Academy auditorium. 
Porimal Singha, Deputy Commissioner was present as chief guest while Alhajj Golam Rasul, Chairman, District Council, Anisur Rahman, Police Super, Boshiruddin Ahmmed, District Freedom fighters’ commander, Abdus Samad, Abdul Halim, Vice Presidents, District Awami League, Haji Ashkar Ali, Advisor and M A Khalek, General Secretary were present as guests.
Conducted by Rashidul Mannaf Kabir, Additional Deputy Commissioner it was addressed among others by Rafiqul Alam, President, Mehrpur District Development Forum, Sportsman Shahi, Rashid Hasan Khan.
A cross section of people including the students of different educational institutions attended the program spontaneously
