Livestock Week Starts in Meherpur

Having been organized by District Livestock Department livestock service week began here today with befitting manner. On the occasion a colorful rally brought out  that paraded the main street of the town from District Livestock Office led by Alhaj Golam Rasul, Chairman, Meherpur Zilla Porishod.

The theme of the day is “Nirapod Pranij Amisher Protisruti Shustha Sobol Medhabi Jati” .

After ending the rally a lively discussion meeting was held at Livestock office premises with Dr. Susanto Kumar Haldar, District Livestock Officer where Alhaj Golam Rasul, Zilla Porishod Chairman was present at chief guest.

Administered by Dr. Nur Alam, Veterinary Surgeon, Dr. Susanto Kumar Halder, District Livestock Officer gave address of welcome.

Khairul hasan, Deputy Director, Local Government division, Dr. Abdur Rashid, PSO, representative of Director General, Livestock Directorate, Sheikh Mejbahul Haque, District Fishery Officer, Ahsan Habib, Assistant Superintendent of Police, M A Khalek, General Secretary, Abdus Samad Biswas, Vice Preseident, Abdul Halim, Vice-President of District Awami League, Rafiqul Alam, President, Meherpur District Development Forum addressed the meeting being the special guests. Apart from this, Modina Khatun, Ship Farmer of Amjhupi and Khalilur Rahman, owner of poultry farm of sadar upazila also spoke.
