Human chain formed against militancy 

MEHERPUR, JUL 19: A huge human chain against the recent militancy was formed here today in front of Deputy Commissioner’s Office duly organized by Meherpur District Development Forum. 

The human chain was led and presided over by its president Rafiqul Alam. It was administered by Ataur Rahman, General Secretary, Meherpur District Development Forum. 

The human chain was attended by cross section of people included religious leaders of all religions, professionals, educationists, students. 

It was addressed by Moulana Ansaruddin Belaly, Imam Court Masjid, Dr. Ramesh Chandra Nath, President, Hindhu Community, Reverend Billiom Sardar, Deen, Bollovpur Church, Dr. Abu Taher Siddique, Secretary, Bangladesh Medical Association, Mosharaf Hossain on behalf of NGO forum, among others. 

The speakers told the gathering that all the evil designs of terrorism and militancy would be resisted from the society with the spirit of freedom fight. They  added that there is no room for the terrorists in  Islam. They urged the people of all races and religions  to work altogether in order to  root out the militancy, terrorisms and corruptions from the society.  

Before starting the program one minute silence was observed for the departed souls that lost in recent carnage.
