The S S Bidda Niketon from play group to class five was formally inaugurated by Jahangir Alam, Joint Secretary , Finance Ministry being the chief guest. The opening ceremony was presided over by Selim Mollah, founder president of the school where Hemayet Hossain, acting Deputy Commissioner, Ahmar Uzzaman, Additiional Police Super, Journalist Rafiqul Alam, President, Advisory Committee of the school, Mojibur Rahman, Deputy Director, Meherpur Seed Production Farm, Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation were present as special guests.
The chief guest in his speeches said that the educated men are the assets of the country on the other hand the illiterates are the burden of the society. So were to work altogether in order to develop the education sector of the district as well as the country.

Thousands of guardians, students and common people attended the school opening ceremony. Later a lovely cultural function also held there.
